Standards
FlexCCarry℠ Standards for Daily Go Bags provide flexibility for holstering and concealing your handgun in a design of your choice. Choose a handbag, sling bag, waist bag, tote bag, backpack or briefcase for example. Be flexible!
Dedicated Holster Pocket
Daily Go Bags must have a dedicated pocket for the concealed holster.
- No matter how many individual pockets a bag has, one pocket must be dedicated for a holster to hold the handgun for concealed carry purposes. This dedicated pocket for the holster reduces clutter from other items that would impede a clean and efficient draw.
- The holster pocket should have high-strength VELCRO™ on the side which will be against the operator’s body.
- The holster, secured inside with VELCRO™, must cover the trigger and hold the handgun securely in the holster pocket.
- Acceptable access options include top entry, left or right entry (to suit the operator’s carry side), or three-sided entry.
- Compartment openings can be secured closed by: VELCRO™, zipper, magnet, or snaps that meet the hardware characteristics described in the next section.
- Interior lining should enhance visibility by being of a light color (not black).
- If there is room, the dedicated pocket may also contain a magazine holster.
Bag & Strap
Material Performance
The body of the Daily Go Bag should:
- Support weight of handgun, extra magazines, flashlight, OC spray, knife
- Retain shape and protect contents while comfortably supporting the weight of the contents without sagging
- Prevent detection or “printing” of the shape of the handgun through the fabric or leather
- Be durable enough to withstand long term use
- Endure heat and sun without becoming overly soft or losing shape and sagging
- Protect and survive in inclement weather such as rain or snow
- Adjustable strap should be long enough to sling over a shoulder or across the body
Material Type
Recommended materials include:
- Leather of sturdy quality, either stiff or supple depending upon personal taste
- Woven nylon (such as Denier-rated nylon or Kevlar)
- Stout canvas
- Waxed cotton
- Adjustable straps: cable reinforced straps are preferred as they are slash- resistant
- A non-slide strap pad
Daily Go Bag Hardware
Hardware should meet the following specifications:
- Zipper performance is critical for a clean and efficient draw. Zippers should be self-healing or luxury-grade and hand polished for smooth opening and closing.
- Zipper pulls should be sturdy and easy to use. Key or clasp locks are optional.
- Swivels should be sturdy enough to handle the weight of contents on straps.
- Buckles should be adjustable.
- D-rings, O-rings should be heavy duty which will not split apart.
- Magnets and snaps must be strong enough to stay closed even when the bag is turned upside down and contexts fall against the magnet or snap.
- Snaps should be strong enough to stay closed even when the bag is turned upside down and contents fall against the snap.
- All hardware must be functional.

"I attended the first class for instructors and have continued assisting Vicki in all the courses since, except for one. The course has truly grown since its inception.
I have taught end user courses in VA and provide bag fitting seminars at various outlets in our local area to include our own store. I have spent a lot of time discussing the progression of the course curriculum and providing input with all who have assisted in the development of the concept."
